Descriptions of your daily ensembles

Eve 8/27

My outfit for the day! There are a bunch of pictures because I'm relying on my MacBook camera, since my digicam mysteriously decided to stop turning on.

http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....hoto75.jpg (better idea of the colors, since the first photo has everything looking black)
http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....hoto69.jpg (attempted close up of shoes)
http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....hoto79.jpg (attempted close up of earrings and headband, although my hair is kind of overwhelming)

This is overall pretty muted, which I kept because I thought the jacket ($35 at WetSeal!) was enough of a statement and I was afraid of overdoing it. Is the jacket okay worn open like that? Am I missing anything big--a splash of color, a necklace, something else? :)

Great outfit but definately think it needs a splash of colour- perhaps a bright bag or scarf? x

Thanks Loulou! You reminded me that I have a giant red bag ( http://img.photobucket.com/alb.....hoto72.jpg ) that should work, and is even big enough to hold my jacket now that it's gotten warmer since this morning.

Oooo lovely bag that would be a perfect splash of colour x

I like the outfit although it is a bit hard to see. I think that a splash of color is not the only way to go. Mixing textures is another option. Angie talks about that a lot when opting for all one color, which is a look that I adore. I cannot make out too clearly the textures of the outfit as you are wearing it. maybe a better picture?

Welcome Eve! Great to see you post. You are adorable.

LOVE your specs! Super shoes too. Are they black or blue? I can’t really see the outfit beacuse the light is poor. I really like the concept though. However, I fear that you are dangerously close to wearing leg shortening pants when they are rolled up like that. Try rolling them a little higher or add heels. I hope that makes sense :0)

I swear, the pictures got darker! ;) I'll have to stick to my cell phone until I can afford a new digital cam.

GG: Texture! Such a good suggestion, thanks. The back of this particular shirt has some pretty awesome texture ( http://www.wetseal.com/catalog.....tImageId=2 ) but, of course, that's the back. I will have to play with that idea more.

Angie: Thanks a bunch! I never post as much as I want to, but I'm trying to remedy that (especially after disappearing from YLF for several months). :) The shoes are black. I scoured Zappos, Naturalizer.com, and Google Images for a better picture but I can't seem to find anything (got them from Marshall's myself). Very good point about the jeans; I'll have to break myself out of the mid-calf comfort zone.
