ESPRIT sizing?

I've found multiple, conflicting size charts online... Anyone familiar with Esprit's sizing? I'm specifically looking at their pants. Also, if you happen to know that their EDC line is different, please let me know!

I was too impatient to wait for this thread, so I just ordered everything I liked in two sizes! Hopefully one of them will work!

I used to fit their size 2 paint; but that was a LONG time ago. Haven't found anything there I liked. That was before I had lady hips. LOL.

LOL! Full disclosure: I would have done the same, MaryK, but the Esprit site does not seem to like the browser I'm using now. Can't load their fit details, can't add items to shopping cart... figured I might as well start a thread to distract me while I count down the minutes to closing time. o_0

LOL rae! I actually suspected as much!!

And now I'm super worried because I ordered the 2 and the 4 but if the 2 doesn't fit lyn* it definitely won't fit me, and maybe the 4 won't either! Yikes!!

I know... there's a Zappos size chart that leads me to think I should order a 4 and 6, while another chart makes me think 2 and 4. There is a Vogue forum thread that says everything runs big, but they're all talking coats and tops; no pants. It's a good thing the returns are free!

I go up one size for Esprit and up two sizes when it is their EDC line.

Ok I'm the one who started this and based on 1 pair of relaxed chinos and 2 pair of jeans I have ordered I size down - or on the lower end of my regular size. I'm between a 10 and 12 in Gap or Banana pants (10 in AT and Loft) and 10 or 30 jeans fit me just right. I'm going to order 10s and hope they fit, if not return and if they are still there get the next size. I think I'm a 12 because of my apple/muffin top but am straight and a 10 from low hip so lower rise fits in the 10.
I think their site is having issues because my cart got wiped out 3 times now and I get the long German explanation which seems to be very apologetic, however I don't read much German.

Esprit pants run small - sometimes two sizes smaller than AT.

Ok it looks like some of us will have returns. Fingers crossed and I should have waited for Angie's call. I figure if it's meant to be they'll have the size I need when I need it.

I happened to be at the "fancy Mall" (which I do not go near during holiday season and by that I mean October through December) and stumbled into Esprit for some sizing help. I tried on a bunch of pants, but they didn't have all the styles I ordered. I found that the basic styles (not skinny ones) fit much like AT on me and I'm in between a 10 and 12 (10 slightly snug but with shapewear or less desserts would be ok, 12 slightly baggy but more appropriate for work) They had 50% off everything, but different pricing than online so I only got a few things (including killer red polkadot scar). I'm going to wait for my order of pants to decide if I need to size up. I probably will in the slimmer styles, but I'm willing to take the chance with the free returns. Of course I could panic tomorrow and order everything in a 12 just to be sure.
I don't know if this helps or adds to the nail biting.

Thanks, for the recon, Jeanne! I looked and my orders are from the EDC line, so maybe I will be ok after all.

Forgot to mention the good news is the inseams are 32". Such relief not to have crops or ankles for winter!
