When I was home last weekend I had a look through some of my old clothes and stuff I had given my sister to see if there was anything that could rescue my summer wardrobe, now that I'm on SYC. There were some things that were still too big on her but fit me again, but the only item with potential were these denim shorts. I think I haven't worn them for years, but they fit. I really like the length, the fact that they cover my knees means they would make a great summer option to wear at work. My other summer shorts end mid thigh and show too much leg. The legs are rather wide, do you think the cut looks dated? I wasn't sure.
One thing that would be a dealbreaker is the wash, especially the front. It just looks strange IMO. I thought about dyeing them with a navy or middle blue, but would the wash still be obvious? Or should it vanish with the dye? And should I try the lighter blue to keep the summery look or would it be safer to go with the darker color for the best possible outcome? I only want to spend money on the color if you think this has potential to be wearable in the end. The only thing I've dyed so far were my pink skinnies, but those were one solid color.
Please feel free to tell me if you think they aren't worth the effort! Thanks.

Here are the results. They look like a non distressed dark wash now, I like them much better now. I think I'm going to wear these a lot, especially because they look fairly good with the Birks IMO. #4 is fairly accurate when it comes to color.
