I saw the Dutch Elle has a special on winter fashion.

I might just go and buy the magazine for the first time in my life. A translation of the key words:

SOMETHING NEW
Oversized coat/jacket
Poncho
Pointed tip shoes
Pleated pants, high and low rise,
Graphic prints
Lacquer
Flared legs on trousers

SOMETHING OLD
Shorts – just wear tights under your shorts
Skinny jeans
short tops - a tad cold for the colder months, but ideal for a layered look. Or tucked into high rise pleated trousers
Army boots
knitwear
animal prints
Plateau shoes, with or without a peep toe (with socks or tights)

Put away
Army look coats
Headbands
Logo’s
Jegging
Ripped jeans
Skin coloured tights - even though the british royals are responsible for a revival of the nude panty, elle is not very pleased with this colour, because the colour usually is just off. They advise a sheer black.

put away Army coats and jeggings? I just bought brand new jeggings from NAS... those puppies are gonna get worn!

I am going to wear my army-style coat too this winter, QM. I only bought it in the middle of last winter, it is going to earn its keep.
I noticed they didn't mention lace at all.

I'll just be sure to leave my army jacket and jeggnigs at home if I visit Europe this winter

I also have all the old and wear them regularly.

I am not about to give up my Gap leans - which I am wearing right now.

Fun, thanks so much for sharing this! Hmm let's see then... I have all the "new" except pleated pants (do shorts count? I have pleated shorts) and a poncho. And all the "old" except the army boots, which are on my list for this winter. But not about to give up my military coats or jeggings though! I noticed the no lace mention as well, perhaps it's fringe?

I bought the issue. I decided it would be wise to get an idea of what will be in the stores and what I like and dislike about it, before I go shopping.
