DD #1 is recovering from wisdom teeth removal and I am sitting here contemplating the replacement of the black Naots that Oreo ate. She only has an appetite for my shoes, apparently. I tried the gold pair on at TJ Maxx and they were extemely confortable but I'm not sure they have that same sleek look in black. What do you think? TIA!

Funny-I am sitting here contemplating getting those in black. I have gold White Mountain and love them. I got the toe post ones as they were so comfy the toe post is so thin I don't even know it I I wear a lot of toe post,(thong) type sandals as they always stay on my feet and flip flops are the main basic type foootwear in my area.

Since the shape is so 'utilitarian,' I would go for the metallic too.

Yes/yay vote from me! You can't go wrong with either color in my book. The gold is fun and dressier, while the black looks edgier and works nicely with your hair.

PS Hope you are keeping warm and dry -- I know it's not a big deal to those from the East, Midwest and Great North, but 40 degrees in April (after temps in the 70s even 80s in March) feels cold to us in California!

Of course I like the metallic ones. But then I also like the black. The buckle details give them extra style.
And I must have missed the episode in which Oreo ate the Naots. Oh no! That dog has expensive taste in tasty shoe-treats!

Thanks, Fabbers! I have to say the gold ones were quite stunning and it took me every bit of self restraint I had to not buy them when I saw them at the store. I just don't need a gold metallic shoe. I do sort of "need" a black one to replace the ones that Oreo ate so I'm going to try the black metallic. I just love the gold accents and the sparkly fabric. I figure at this price point, I'll be happy if they last the summer.
@Firecracker: OMG, I'm attributing Oreo's appetite to the steroids she just finished. She's been a little crazy lately--tapering off. "Roid Rage" I suppose. She smells as good as an Oreo now. Still a stinker for eating my Naots but I suppose it's my fault for leaving them unattended. I should know better!
@Denise: The weather has been so strange for April. We are used to a few showers but not the downpour and cold! It was hailing here yesterday too. Hope you guys are managing to stay warm--bet it's much colder your way!
