Dress/Scarf Challenge - Thursday: sheath bomber, inspired by Debbie

This could also be a Keep/Return and Exchange size for the jacket.
1. Calvin Klein black sheath dress with Angie's recommended lace bomber in black and grey. Tsubo booties, Target belt. The scarf was added for the scarf challenge, tied to be an infinity scarf. I will add a watch and probably the black Kooba shoulder bag, although it has gold hardware.
2. Without the scarf.
3. Basic dress. I forgot to remove the belt. Belt is a snake print with double buckles.
I'd appreciate your thoughts on this outfit. Are the Tsubos looking too wide without leggings? How do you like the jacket? This is a small and feels good on but I could size up or down. Awaiting you thoughts before I pull the tags. Oh, and is the scarf too much?

Love that first photo with all the fab accessories! I think the jacket and scarf look perfect.but actually the shoes look took big on your feet...maybe it is just the angle?

Ooh, Joy, I love it. The minimalist in me likes it slightly better without the scarf although it looks very luxe with it. I have a question about the jacket--is it the lighting that makes it look like the lace is light? It almost looks cream on black in the photos.

Joy, I love both! I don't think the scarf is too much at all, in fact I quite like it. But #2 without the scarf is beautiful as well. FWIW - #1 feels more fun and playful, #2 feels more refined and elegant to me.

I'm going to confess full ignorance about booties being too wide at the ankles. They do look a little wide in #2 but not in #1 - Jayne might be onto something. Maybe it's the angle of the camera? In any case, I really like this outfit both ways! The jacket looks good to me at this size, but I'm not an expert on this style, that's for sure!

Kelly, the lace of this jacket is a medium grey on black and lined with nude. From a distance the grey looks sort of silvery but there is no metallic thread in this version. I also saw a lighter, more beige version that did have metallic thread.

I am not sure about the booties - these are perhaps meant to be a bit loose at the ankle, no? You will know best.

I love this! The scarf is very pretty, and I'm thinking it works both with and without it. The jacket looks wonderful. And you have that kind of sheath that I dream of finding. Stunning! I agree with Jayne that the shoes look a tad too big on your feet, but you would know that better than us.

I think the jacket looks good.

As for the booties, if you thinkthey are too wide, they probably are. In my experience, you can tell that pretty quickly, especially if you are used to wearing booties.

Debbie, you often inspire me with your wonderful outfits. I need to acknowedge it more often.
About the shoes, they are rather wide but are supposed to be. However, my eye needs to adjust more to the look or I need to reserve these for pants and leggings which give the ankle more substance.
So far it sounds like with or without the scarf works.
Angie, thank you. I'm thinking of taking this jacket to Japan next month as it looks like it will pack light and be wrinkleproof and go with black.

I agree with Angie -- your style is going off the charts! I love all iterations of this outfit. The bomber fits really well, and I like the monochromatic palette you have going on. My preference is for without the scarf, but I bat for Team Minimalism

Gorgeous new jacket! I like it with the scarf. Might as well go "all in!" As for the booties, it's hard to tell, because the camera is "shooting down." Gap doesn't bother me, as long as they don't move too much as you walk.

You make a good point, Beth Ann. They are not oversized and fine for even fast walking. I suppose my eye just needs to adjust to the look.
