dress+legging+socks+boots- yay or nay

First of all, I have to confess Angie, that I didn't return that blue target dress that you told me to ;-( But trust me, I wasn't the *worst* dressed at Trader Joe's today

I have 3 excuses-
*It is just too comfy for words
*at $7 I figured I could afford to play around with it more
*it got mixed reviews so i figured it wasn't horrendous

I used brown accents instead of black today

The only part I don't like is the sock sticking out. It kind of draws my eye down.

I think the dress is really cute on you. I like it belted, it gives it some structure. I agree that it might be better with the socks pushed down, or maybe with black socks? It's cute though!

I prefer the dress WITH the long cardigan. It takes attention away from the dress and adds a sense of sophistication to the outfit. I am consistent, Kim :0)

Angie- I didn't expect you to change your mind.... and I should have been more clear. I posted more for opinions on my socks with the boots. somehow just the black leggings seemed to be missing something, and I had socks the same color of the boots so decided to give them a whirl. They're not getting rave reviews so far so I'll push them down inside my boots and see if my eye adjusts.

I think the socks are too thin to give the legwarmer effect, sadly they do just look like pulled up socks. Definately give legwarmers a go with the boots though i think they'll look great x

Well I liked this dress first time round, so I might be biased.....I still like it now! Cardie over top looks great. I really like the sock look too, although I can't help but woner if black or maybe even grey socks would make the boots "pop" more.

I really like how you styled the dress, especially with the cardigan. I'm not a fan of the socks though... I think that legwarmers look best in the eighties or on Harajuku girls who can work such things
