Dressing room: whites?

I'm in white mode and need help to consider these pieces. I'm aiming at great fit, not just ok bc I know just ok items often become closet orphans/donated.

White jersey blazer. Yes or no?
If yes: small or medium?

White jeans. Are these great or not?
I'm a bit worried about how they look at the hems, but I'm not sure what it is.

White jersey blazer looks like it has great promise to me. I would have said the small from the front, but it looks too tight on the sleeves from the side view in that you can see the underlayer bunching underneath? Unless that's just a temporary quirk and something that wouldn't happen with the thickest tops you would wear underneath I'd say medium.

Jeans look quite good, but try stretching/smoothing the hems and see if that helps the front view at the ankle (white jean fabric can do that sometimes I think). Would you roll them sometimes or are you planning for full length or to hem at cropped length?

Overall, I like the medium in the jacket.

Not sure what you mean about them hems of the white jeans except that they look to have a "pant hem" instead of the usual jeans hem which is more rolled...

If wearing the jacket over a top with sleeves, I'd say medium. If mostly worn with sleeveless, small. To me the jeans look good but I'm not very good at determining fit.

I like the medium jacket on you. I'm not loving the jeans. I think the rise is too high for your shape (as it would be for mine as well). Finding some that hit at the top of your hip bones might work better IMO.

I do like the very form fitting look of the small, but ir does have a look that says that you couldn't wear much under it.

I love the jacket and prefer the medium fit, especially if you are planning to layer it over anything other than a sleeveless top. Regarding the jeans -- I think Carter has a point about the rise being too high on the jeans for your figure. The waistband seems as if it is is hitting in the wrong spot, but perhaps it is the angle of the photo that makes it appear that way. Does the rise feel comfortable to you? Only you would know.

I think the blazer would be worn with short sleeve tops and dresses, and some sleeveless dresses. But I like the practicality of layering options.

The jeans feel fine in the rise. As an adorable apple I find lower rise jeans difficult because of muffin top My waist is not so much defined.

Do they look too tight?

Sorry for being unclear about the hem. I think they're supposed to be cropped straight leg jeans, but my legs aren't long enough (I'm petite). Should they be shorter or as is? Or more tapered?

Jeans don't look too tight to me. I also like high-rise jeans, in part because of the no muffin top thing. I'm not a pant length expert but I'd try them with the shoes you plan to wear them with and that might give a better idea if they need to be shortened or rolled.

I like the jacket style for you. It's tricky to say for sure which size...perhaps the medium for more layering flexibility. The jeans look good. I too like a high-ish rise as low rise jeans slip down on me and I usually have tops covering the waist area. Try the jeans with appropriate shoes as Rabbit suggests. You can always have them hemmed a little.

I understand about the preference for "no muffin top". (I am an hourglass with some apple tendencies, so I have that concern too.) The jeans do not look tight. And they look opaque… which is great! Sometimes white jeans can be way too revealing. The cropped straights that I own are not tapered at the bottom and, in fact, almost have a slightly flared look to them. So I do not think you need to taper these jeans, unless you prefer that look. If you plan on shortening them, I would try undercuffing them to find a length that makes you happy before you hack or hem them.

El Cee, l think you pinpointed what I tried to say. They do have a slight flare, not full flare and not bootcut. l was wondering if that's an ok look or if it was frumpy. I guess it works since yours have the same cut.

Rolling them sounds like a good idea. Then I could choose the length according to different shoes.
