I am confused. I've been seeing your outfits for a while now, and sophisticated is definitely how I would describe your style. So you already got that one going for you.

Both outfits are fabulous. You look really hip. I think you got the trendy part down without straying from your general style. Great job!

Angie- I did see that you commented that I met my goal of sophistication and thank you very much for that observation. I just wanted to put my adjectives exactly as they were on the thread for the sake of accuracy.

I think this outfit reflects a cross between my current style and goals. Because of the traditional black blazer it is more modern-classic than trendy. If the jacket had a more trendy cut or some trendy details, then I think it would fit my goal perfectly. Am I right?

Looking hot, Bella! When I think of glamour and sophistication, I think of you. I agree with you regarding the blazer; it's definitely a classic look with your own twist, and to make it trendy, you could change the blazer. I think the vest is a more trendy look, and equally sophisticated.

I agree with the ladies above, I've always thought of your style as very sophisticated (as well as glamorous), which I love.

I agree with you about the "trendiness" of your blazer ensemble and about your jacket. But why don't you try rolling or scrunching up the sleeves on your blazer, and wearing a waist belt over the top of it? That's a very big "trend" look right now, and I definitely think you could pull it off. That way you wouldn't have to invest a lot in a new jacket that might be out of style soon. I definitely think accessories a great way to be trendy without breaking the bank.
