I thought that was a little ho-hum, especially with the color of the shirt. So I added a yellow scarf for some contrast.

I like this outfit better, don't you? Do you think it's professional enough for a luncheon? Looking at it, I should button that bottom button I think. Is there too much going on near the top?

I moved my collar to the inner ring of the scarf, so it's a little more streamlined. AND the scarf is holding the collar in a popped position. I didn't see myself as a collar popper, but there you have it.

Your shoes remind me of a pair of Hush Puppies I had circa 1997- blue suede, loafer-style, with brushed metal "HP" logo on the front. This is a huge compliment because I LOVED those shoes and got loads of compliments on them!

Thank you all for the nice comments! The luncheon was a lot of fun. I should have known the dress code would be casual. I was among the more polished, but definitely not over the top or out of place.

I saw a colleague whose style I've always admired. In the past I can remember feeling very unstylish around her. She was also wearing a cardigan and colorful patterned scarf! I liked her outfit a little more than mine, but at least I was in the same league for a change!
