Does this top scream "hoe down" ?

I have been purging my wardrobe lately, little by little.
I wear fairly classic clothing.
I am working on creating a look that is a bit more polished and age appropriate, without too much of a yawn attached to it.

YLF has helped me to see how color can play a part
in shaking up the mix a bit. I am a tone on tone kind of gal though.

I know this outfit is not really shaking anything up.
I liked the top when I saw it.

But am I channeling my childhood again here?

I always like black and white gingham too. The way you're wearing it, it looks casually summer chic to me.

The shirt is actually navy and white, Cricket. It is hard to tell from the picture.
I think this color combo was also a reason why I was somewhat hesitant. I wore a lot of sleeveless shirts growing up.

San. I loved your pictures with Angie, so I know I must be on the right path.

kellygirl, you are too funny about the Beverly Hillbilly.
I guess I don't have to worry that someone will come up to me and ask if I have straw in my teeth when I wear this outfit now!

Kellee, you look great. I, too, have an affinity for "traditional" americana prints - madras, seersucker, etc. My challenge is how to wear them with a modern twist. You've done it here. Beautiful.
