Does this dress work as a dressy casual dress?

what do you guys think? It's silk, but has a more casual cut.

At first glance, probably not. In a different fabric, yes, the cut could be casual, but in real life I think it will seem more dressy than it appears on screen.

I think it can be a "going out to casual dinner with friends" dress. Throw on a denim jacket or bulky cardigan and not-too dressy shoes (flats or low heels).

I don't think it could work as a "going to class" dress unless you were doing a presentation.

It's a pretty dress.

I think it'd definitely be dressy casual 'round my neck of the woods. Especially if dressed down with boots and such.

I would definitely wear this as a daytime smart casual dress. The silks I am seeing around at the moment aren't as shiny-shiny as in the past, and look perfectly appropriate for day wear.
