Thinking of these as a starter purchase for warm weather ... but I made the mistake of asking DD for her opinion ("Mom, GRANDMA would wear those!"). Ugh.
I think they might look sort of fab with that outfit Angie posted today, which I am also seriously thinking about.

I WISH I could get my mom to wear something that hip and trendy! Seriously. DD's going to rue the day when she sees how fantastic your pointy silver toes make things look. They would only be grandma shoes if you paired them with truly frumptastic outfits. Pair them with your hip, stylin' clothes and mock the heck out of her (lovingly, of course) (like my mom did) when she caves and wants to borrow them (like I did a billion different articles of clothing of my mom, including the coolest purse ever, which I told her looked like a picnic basket and she should throw away and I STILL own twenty plus years later).

Ummmmmmm yes! I think the colour, pointy toe, and lower vamp help keep them looking modern.

Yes. It's in how you wear them whether they go all society matron, hip, or on the spectrum in between.

I love these and have several pair similar from Talbot's for a lower price point. Check their site, they have several width for their shoes,

My mom actually had some similar but not nearly that cool -- they were like a comfort version!

I love those and would totally wear them, grandma or no. Hoping I have many years yet before I am a "grandma."

Just to be clear, I have nothing at all against grandmas or against aging -- and my mother is just a doll and still has a great sense of style. But, she is 85, and I'm not quite ready for that.

Sometimes we should not ask our daughters opinions. They just don't understand. Says the mother of a 23 and 30 year old. Those shoes are fantastic!

I was a bit worried that your mother was my age because I love those shoes. I had a similar shaped shoe a few years ago and thought they were quite stylish. I almost wish I hadn't looked because I want a pair too now.

Still not sure if I will get them -- recent purchases ate up my money and now I have to wait a while -- but I appreciate the commiserating from those of us with vocal children (and fiances!). My daughter, bless her, doesn't even really need to be asked to share her opinion.
