Do any of these tops work with skirts?

I need to get the armholes adjusted on the sleeveless tops, as always, but ignore that, and ignore my messy hair. It's my day off and I don't apologize for being lazy!

To my untrained eye they all work, perhaps the last black one needs belting oops can't remember if you do belts x

I think all three work and will look great once tweaked.

BTW, these woven tops are soooooo much better than the knit v-neck from the other day --- by a mile.

I am especially partial to the first photo; the color is gorgeous and the cut so flattering. That outfit on you is a strong 10 to me.

I also think that wide elastic belt will be a sharp way to change up the looks here and will help raise the bottom hems up a smidge with no tailoring.

I think all three look great on you! The color of the first one is fabulous!!
I have a similar sleeveless top but for some reason, everytime I try it with skirts, I don't like it. I only seem to wear it with pants. Maybe I just need to play with it some more.

The black top actually has a thick band under the bust that is made up of little rows of scalloped trim. It's very pretty. I wish you could see it! For $12 at Target, that top sure has a lot of nice detail. That said, I don't know if belting it will work unless the belt is thick enough to completely cover the band. If I can find a comfy, flattering one, I will try. I thought it looked a bit long too. I'm going to H&M later this week and will report back on my findings.

Knits are increasingly not kind to my body. I'm finding that non-button-down wovens with stretch seem to be my best bet right now.

I am completely in love with the first shirt on you Maya. Perfect in every way!!!
The black one looks super too (is that a new skirt as well? Super cute).

I'm not completely sold on the white shirt at the moment, it's something about the band under the bust area, but it's always hard to judge from one picture.

And you wear sleeveless tops so well, I'm jealous!-)

I need the band under the bust, otherwise I would look like a square =\ It helps to bring the top back in at the waist instead of going over the bust and just...hanging. It ties in the back so perhaps I just didn't do a nice job of tying it.

Does it look funny here too? This picture is from last summer.

I take back what I said Maya. The white shirt looks gorgeous in the second picture too!!! (as I expected, it was just the way it was tied).

I love them all! The first two are the perfect length for skirts but the last one is probably too long but it looks great with trousers.

Outfit #1 and #3 are sensational. I LOVE the checked skirt. Perfect, Maya. Add stirrup leggings to these outfits for extra creative yummy-ness.

#2 is not bad either. Works, but is not quite as flattering as the other two.

You look KILLER in sleeveless tops, btw.

What is off about #2? Is there something off about that shirt or is it just the length? Inge picked up on something being off about it as well.

Sleeveless tops are fine with me if only the giant armholes didn't need to be altered each time. My bra never stays covered!

I looked at your pics before everyone commented because I wasn't sure about #2. The retake photo looks better, but it seems bulky under your bust with that detail.

Maya, agree with the others - numbers 1 & 3 look fantastic. The white shirt looks fab with the pants but for some reason, the proportions seem a little off with the skirt. It's almost as if it seems too short?? I'm not sure if it's just the way that you are standing?

The blue blouse is really great for you. Either you're exagerating when you say you don't have much of a waist or this blouse is a miracle worker, because you definitely have a waist!

I really like the white blouse, but not with that skirt, and I don't know why.

I love the black top with the checkered skirt. Lovey, love, love.

P.S. I insist that you inform me where you've bought your blouses from now on! Even though you are petite and I'm not, we have the same small upper half + extra bosomy goodness, and I'll bet I would love these blouses on me too!

Jenny, they are from NY&Co and given to me by the darling Tanya. I checked recently to see if they had any more tops like those but they don't this season! Boo. They are VERY stretchy though. No ironing required. I love them!

And yes, that blue blouse *is* a miracle worker. I really have no waist!

I like the number 2 and 3 better. These 2 skirts look really good too. Did you try to tuck the shirts inside of the skirts ?
