I'm taking advantage of the released hem trend to finally make a pair of jeans work better for me.

I've had these AG Tomboy jeans for maybe 3 years and love the fit, but they've always been just a little too short, even with my flattest shoes and boots. I decided to release the hems, starting with just the backs, to get an extra inch of length, which brings them closer to the floor, my preferred length for this type of boot cut. Once I got halfway around, though, I decided to try keeping the front hem intact, because it does break just slightly on my low-heeled shoes. I kind of like the effect. I'll share pics of them on the next time I wear them, but I thought I'd share a closeup of the chop job.

Is anyone else DIYing released hems or split hems? I'm thinking of doing a split hem on some infrequently-worn straight leg jeans to make them easier to wear full length with booties.
