Diamond statement ring

I know it's a bad pic but it's all I have. I am looking for a nice statement ring and I saw this one. It is 18k gold and diamonds. I wanted to know if u guys think it's worth it? Sometimes statement rings can look fake but this one really caught my eye? I was going to get a pair of bigger diamond stud earrings than I have now but I kinda want something unique

I know what you mean. They can look cheap and expensive at the same time too. I really like this one tho.

Gorgeous! Mine's not diamonds, but I'm a huge fan of big middle finger rings. I bought this one for my birthday last month.

Really pretty design! I can't really comment on whether it looks real or not because honestly, I assume most fancy jewelry is fake unless I know the person and how they spend their money.

Hey, I'm really liking this thread. What great pieces. I like the first better, Kelz. The second feels a little Disney Princess to me.

Oh! THIS is a thread I am really going to enjoy. I love jewelry. In fact, I and drawn to all things shiny. I love to look at it, inspect it, admire it.

Of the two rings you posted, the first is more attractive to my eye. I have to agree with RachyLou about the second ring.

I like the first one. The second one is more for a specific event. Like Rachy said. A Disney Princess sounds about right.

This question depends on your style. I prefer the first one but I wouldn't consider it a classic design so it might look inauthentic if you have a classic style. It looks like a Stephen Webster design (http://www.stephenwebster.com) -- he definitely incorporates sharper lines and edges to his work that is similar to sharpness of that overlapping band. The first picture below is his thorn ring (modern with a bit of edge).

I'm absolutely a fan of middle finger rings. And completely understand your concern. Above everything -- you have to LOVE it! See below images of mine. I LOVE my Stephen Webster crystal haze ring (black dome) but the other diamond bands works well with other combinations (inspired by De Grisogono Allegra rings). I change my wedding set around with different bands, only wearing a band, etc.

Again, you have to LOVE it.

I nearly always wear a statement ring on my right hand middle finger and have a small collection that I love. I have bought several during trips - my favorite souvenirs. Robin and Deb: I love your links!

I had to take a ring in to be sized and saw this one in the case and thought of you. Not as big but similar to the picture you posted.
