Denim Jacket Keep or Return

I have a sinking suspicion this is a return. The jacket is cropped but the waistband still hits the top of my hips.

1) Buttoned with blue/white dress.
2) Unbuttoned with blue/white dress.
3) Unbuttoned with orange dress.
4) With jeans (imagine they're a different color)
5) Sleeves rolled up

Okay, I'm neither here nor there at the moment because I really need to see it with scrunched sleeves. I think that will make a huge difference. It seems fine to me in general!

The sleeves are too tight to scrunch. I tried rolling them up in picture #5.

Una, if you're still auditioning trenches, I tried on this one in a purple color in the store (guess it's not online) and it was gorgeous. I may very well end up getting if I return the denim jacket.

I forgot if you were looking for something RATE or polished - this might not be what you're looking for because it is definitely all the way on the polished side of the spectrum.

Much more better with the sleeves rolled up! I vote keep!
I wear all my denim (and sometimes other jackets, too-except perhaps the wintery wool ones-worn with long sleeve blouses, button downs, or turtle necks) with rolled up sleeves!! I findthem more comfy, and appealling and, I know Angie also approved that style, too! (so, happy dance!).

Yay with the sleeves rolled up! Thanks for the trench link. I will check it out. It got cold enough here that I may not be worrying about it till spring, unless I find something perfect...

Thanks all. The bagginess of the back still bothers me so I may try to take it in. Has anyone gotten their jackets altered? Do you think two vertical darts at the back will be sufficient?

I'll bet that a few darts would help. It would help the fit when you wear it buttoned and give it a nice curve even with it open. Believe it or not, I LOVE it with the same color jeans! Rolled up or down, my favorite proportion is with the jeans and slightly longer top.
