Cream Boots?

Angie has often talked about her cream boots. She wears them in the spring, and I am very intrigued by this idea, since I love boots and have a hard time transitioning out of them when the weather gets warmer, The only pair I've found are these waterproof ones, which are a bit out of my price range.

Has anyone seen a light color boot? I don't know if white would be right for me, but cream might be nice.

I’ve tried these. They're actually beige, and not cream. I found them quite uncomfortable around the ankle. Perhaps you’ll have better luck. Unfortunately I can’t steer you in the right direction, Tara. I have three pairs of cream boots and they were all bought abroad.

My suggestion is that that you try a pair of cream ballet flats or mini wedges first. You live in sunny CA!

I have always loved this look, even pre-YLF, but I have had a hard time with it. I own one pair of slouchy bone-colored ankle boots but they are too short to really look right tucked into jeans and they look silly under them. I have tried finding a replacement pair without much luck. It seems no one appreciates colors other than black, brown, and chestnut when it comes to boots.

Before I lost my job, I was looking at vintage boots on ebay. They had lots of white and cream options and I found some gorgeous pairs for $20 or under! Sadly they just weren't right for me--some of the toes were too pointy and others wouldn't fit snugly around the calf area. If I continued looking I'm sure I would have found something though.

I too would loooooove to find a pair of cream boots - slouchy, knee-high is the first preference, but at this point I'm not going to be picky. Angie is on to something with buying these boots abroad. The only cream-colored pair of boots I ever owned was purchased in Spain!! Sigh.

Yeah, well - I don't see a trip abroad in my future any time soon, unfortunately.

I think Angie is right. I'll concentrate on finding some light colored flats first.

Yeah, no trips abroad for me either ... so we'll just have to hope for loads of European imports in the fall boot selection.
