corduroy blazer - nordstrom

I know it is early to be asking, but does the Halogen corduroy blazer from Nordstrom soften up after wearing. I am wondering if I should return mine since it feels a tad stiff and the shorter than usual sleeve length might make it unsuitable for layering through the end of fall. Thoughts?

This is the jacket in question:

I haven't seen this one, but I have a similar Halogen corduroy blazer from 3-4 years ago, and it is quite soft. What is your climate like? I am asking because I find that here I wear it usually for quite a short time in the fall, before it gets cold enough for coats. I can imagine it would get a lot more use in a warmer and drier climate. Sometimes I wear it under a trench coat, but not very often. You could also wear it over a l/s top for a more winter-like look. Sorry, don't know if it helps!

Marianne, I am in DC. It gets cold enough for long coats on a few days but it is not dreadfully cold like in Chicago or Boston. Plus I am somewhat of a freak; I got through all of last winter with just long-sleeved woolen sweaters, a fleece vest, smartwool socks and sandals (I know, I know, it is shameful and I am trying to change).

Well, then I think you should keep it! With a scarf you can wear it well into the fall. Hopefully other people who actually own it will chime in.
(I once was in DC in December and it was freezing! And there was a snowstorm too - maybe it was an exceptional winter)

Bumping for KristenKP, Niva, Medusa. I might be forgetting others who own this blazer.
