Copy-cat/ Inspiration/ Tomboy looks

I just got some new slouchy gray wool pants that I'd had my eye on for months and the price finally came down to something I was willing to pay. (60% off- SCORE!) I love these pants- they have a pleated front, are tapered to a satin-backed cuff that can be turned up or down.

So today I was playing around today with some looks partly inspired by Angie's tomboy look, partly Inès de la Fressange, and partly by a picture I had on my inspiration page.

#1-4 Akris Punto gray flannel pants, Chicos white shirt, Talbots vest, Stuart Weitzman patent heeled oxfords

#5-6 same pants with Theory batwing sweater. #6 shows the cuffs rolled up, but it's not a very good picture.

#7 Inès de la Fressange
#8 Inspiration picture (unknown)

#9-10 My modification of the inspiration look: Sandro tux jacket, J Crew chambray shirt, AG jeans, Vaneli red pumps

I'm on the lookout for a navy blazer more like the ones in 7&8, but haven't found the right one yet.

I really like these pants! Have you tried to tuck into them - I feel that they are the best when nothing is on top of the pleats.
I like your inspiration picture and like your interpretation of it - very simple and slick! I am not sure it this is tomboy or not but it looks great.

I haven't tried tucking anything in with those pants yet, but I'll have to try. Tucking isn't usually too flattering on me unless I wear a jacket or cardigan on top, though, so the pleats might show even less!

Your new slouchy trousers are fabulous!! I too think they'll look good with tucked tops to show off the pleats. Love they way you styled them in #1. Great copycat outfit too! Fun red pumps with that outfit :}

Lovely, Parsley, you look terrific. I love them all. I'm curious about switching out the dolman tneck with a fitted tneck in 5, so you aren't slouchy on top and bottom (similar to Angie's outfit here, I guess http://youlookfab.com/2011/11/.....nd-smiles/). Great trousers!

Aida and Sarah, I'll try tucking a more fitted sweater and see how it looks. That may not be the best look with a slightly bulgy mid-section. I love Angie's look but we do not have the same build!

Oh, Parsley, your new slouchy pants, look fabulous on you! I love the way you've styled them with the white shirt-vest and the black sweater. Inspiration photos are so helpful to me, too, and I have a similar navy blue blazer dilemma, because I have a double-breasted one, but want one like in your photo #8. My dilemma is that the one I have is made so nicely, with fine fabric, I had to replace it. Great photos and you do PC and Tomboy, beautifully.
