Continued Search For Light Colored Boots

Hi Girls,

Further to my on going search for light boots, I found these on line tonight. What do you think?

today, but I am going to return as I just cannot come to terms with the shearling and my DH and best friend don't love them:(

These are a little slouchy but otherwise quite streamlined. Color looks good and I think these could work with jeans (tucked) and also skirts/dresses.

I have ordered them! So should be able to show you next week.

Love your general thoughts though. Particularly like to know if you think this style of boot works with my style.

They are lovely and I think nicer than the others. I wonder if they will be a bit slouchy for with dresses and perhaps a bit on the casual side, but they are dressier than the ones with shearling, so that's a plus. The texture is beautiful.

Thanks Suz! I like the idea of the contrast of slightly casual boot with dressy dress, but will have to try it IRL to see if it works:). Also I only work 3 days so having them for casual/non work days is ok as they would get enough wear to justify them being casual only.

What is your workplace dress code? I think these boots are lovely and would totally wear them to work, but I've only experienced lax business casual (library setting).

KL my office is very relaxed. I have commented before that I could rock up in PJ's and no one would notice. I am the dressiest person in my department! So these wld be fine at work:)

I like these very much! I can totally see them working with a variety of dresses and skirts, and vests etc.

I really like these too. I can totally see these with skirts and dresses and every kind. Even the long shorts with microfishnets a la MOTG.

I hadn't seen the others, but now that I have, I think that you made a very wise decision.

I think of your style as very clean and maybe graphic? and these are a little more, I don't know, earthy? It could work though. I will be curious to see how you style them.

I like these a lot, hopefully the calves fit properly as they look a bit wide in the photos (even for a slouchy style). The color looks really promising!

I think of you as more streamlined and can see you in slouchy black boots, but the light color I'll have to see to judge. I hunted for light boots and found for myself they needed to be trim in order not to make me feel like I had slouchy elephant legs (low contrast) Just saying I'm reserving judgement until I see them on you.

Great boots! I had the same thought as Aida - they do look like they might be too wide in the calf for you. Can't wait to see them on you! As far as the other boots go...even though I loved them and thought they were super cute for a really casual winter look, you just don't seem sold on them. I vote return and wait for the right ones.

Jj "elephant legs" very funny!! But sadly true:). I will keep that in mind.

I am bearing mind that Angie has light slouchy boots and she works them into her pretty streamlined style.

Christy, I have returned the shearling ones this morning. DH was glad to see them returned but Master 9 was devastated as apparently he "loved" them. Fingers crossed for the new ones.

These are really nice Deborah - tights and jeans will look great tucked in and I think they may work with dresses/skirts as well. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I hope these work out for you. I've yet to find my light boots and have decided that maybe it will have to be light booties instead. I got a pair of suede over-the-knee to fill this hole but find them to be "a look" and not as versatile as I'd hoped.
