what type of foot/heel cream do you use inbetween the 3-4 wks of pedicures?

i have super dry feet. i have used eucerin foot repair, goldbond softening foot cream, rosewater and glycerin, and numerious others.....what works for you?

I use that foot foam that they sometimes prescribe for diabetics (whose skin doesn't heal well). I'm not diabetic, but apparently anyone can use it. The one I have now is called Footlogix (for cracked heels). It works really well and absorbs right away.

I use Aquaphor. It's just like petroluem jelly but doesn't stink like petroleum jelly. I use it on my lips, hands and heels all year round. It really helps in winter to keep my hands and heels from splitting.

This is slightly gross but be sure your dryness is not a weird unusual symptom of a fungus similar to athlete's foot. I was plagued by what I thought was super dry feet, cracked heels, etc. but saw on some blog that those could be a type of foot fungus -- not all athlete's foot is between the toes. I tried a drugstore brand product for athlete's foot and was amazed by the difference in a couple of weeks. The product contained some type of petroleum jelly and the antifungal med.

I rub on a lot of Vaseline, then put on cotton socks and go to bed. It's like a masque for your feet. Very healing and moisturizing. I do this about once a week.

Echoing Nebraskim and certainly TMI, a foot fungus plagued me for years and I kept thinking it was ultra dry, cracked skin. My heels had cracks so deep they would bleed. Besides treatment, I ended up replacing all my footware because I kept recontaminating my feet by continuing to wear my favorite shoes, boots, sandals.

I changed to non-formaldahyde nail polish too. Much happier and healthier skin on my feet, nearly normal

I have a friend who is a dermatologist. She recommended that creams for very dry hands and feet need to have a urea content. I think you've tried euracrin though and I think it has a urea content.

I also soak my feet in Epsom salts when they need extra care. The salts are very restorative.
