CM Microchecks...again

I was in the CM store in Edison today (Menlo Park Mall) and lo and behold, what did I see on the sale rack - CM microchecks for $9! After all my bravado about resisting even though it was such a good deal and how I was on a pant ban, I realized I didn't have the will power. The fit was great and the fabric amazing. I also ended up with a great black cowl as well as a white sheath dress (Florette dress) that I plan to wear to my mother-in-law's 75th birthday party in September. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me so no pics for now.

But for anyone who is still looking, as of a couple of hours ago they still had one size 10 and two size 0s. Their number is: (732) 494-4496

Oh darn, I should have just bought it & held it for her. I'm afraid that some lurker will grab it!!! Brianna, I am hoping that you are online (trying to use ESP to call Brianna)...

What's weird is that I was in this store about a month or so ago and I didn't see any. These didn't look like returns either - they were all freshly creased as if sitting somewhere folded. Perhaps I just missed them last time around or maybe they were in the stock room somewhere...

Great purchases, Shana! I've seen that dress, it's very pretty. BTW, congratulations on DH's new job - I saw it in the other thread. Are you staying in the same area or do you have to move for it?

If anyone sees size 2 in those pants, I'd be interested to hear about it. I am now kicking myself for sizing up.

Thank you Marianne. Yes, it's a huge relief for us. My own job search proved to be futile so I decided to focus on finishing up my MBA and staying at home with my 19 month old for a little bit longer. I'll probably start looking again next fall and hopefully by then the recession will be behind us & I'll have better luck. Having been out of the job market for a number of years, I didn't really have the kind of experience (recent) or skills (very specific) that most local employers were seeking. Unfortunately, we do have to move. What can you do - have to go where the jobs are!

My job search hasn't been fruitful, either. I am seriously considering going to grad school, since I don't see things improving any time soon. I feel like I can justify staying home with my 18 month old for a while, but I still need to stay current somehow. Anyway, good luck with your move and other plans!

Oh, so close! I'm actually looking for size 12s. I'm so glad you found some, though!
