Club Monaco check pants

The size 4's arrived and they are too big so the 6's are definately going to be a no go.
These pants are running large for me. I wear a 4 in COH and they are snug.

I see that they look fine from the front but because I have a flat butt they are too baggy in the back. I should make my own pants because of this fit problem.

san, they actually do look really, really good from the front. How bad is the bagging on the bum area? Is it like this or worse? :

I wish I had taken a picture of these from the back. I'll do that tonight

I was going to say that they look great from the front. Can you take a picture of the back?

You have a more ncely shaped bum than I have niva. I do have that extra fabric at the back of the thighs like shows in your picture. That extra fabric is no so bad to a certain extent, but when there is just too much, like on me, it looks sloppy and ill fitting.
When I had my fitting classes, the instructor who has seen a zillion bodies for fitting, kept saying, "Ya you're flat". Sounds like I am one of the flatest she has seen!

That's a shame about the back; they look great from the front! Is it worth tailoring these pants; is that something you could do?

San, do you think it's just bagging because they aren't hemmed to the proper length? Sometimes pants seem baggy to me in the back, but it's just because they are too long, and can't hang freely, so they aren't draping properly. Have you tried them on with heels to see if that could the culprit? Another thing that happens sometimes is that my pants are too big in the waist, so they are sliding down and sagging in the bum. When I get the waist taken in, I find they sit up higher and the bagginess is gone.

They look stellar from the front. I'd love to see a photo of the back.

San, can the seam be altered somehow to eliminate bagginess? I am pretty sure men have that alteration done on suit pants.

San, the 4's look PERFECT. Let's see them from the back too. I'd have the 4's altered and perhaps you can do this yourself. Don't you just LOVE the feel of that fabric.

(You can also show me in person on Monday if you like?)

I guess your 6's are up for grabs!!!

Wait a second - size 6 up for grabs? Is that true, San?

I have decided to alter the 4's that I am wearing in the picture. They are so beautifully made and for $29 I think I can afford to work on them.
I have promised the 6's to Ana, so you'll need to ask Ana to be on the list if they don't work for her. They really are a beautiful pair of pants, I love the fabric.
