I have a number of those sort of straight but silky- padded hangers because I used to think that was the ticket for garments like sweaters and such.

Over time I've figured out that it's the slope of the shoulders of the hanger, more than padded vs. not padded , that preserves the shoulder line without those peaks or stretched areas.( I like to hang a lot of items). . The padded ones often are worse offenders
So, they're not "sparking joy" yet I was struggling with tossing because for so long they seemed like " luxury" hangers even though I know they're not. Replaceable , too, of course.

About to take the plunge, though!

Have you
unexpectedly had trouble giving up an " idea" in your closet and wardrobe approach even though logic tells you
otherwise?
