I started watching the Danish TV series Dicte, about a journalist who also solves murder cases, and I totally fell in love with the character's look (pic 1). The pic here doesn't tell much though, if you watch the first episode you will understand: rocker no-nonsense to-die-for jeans + Scandinavian style booties, overload of chains around the neck (double looped), long golden thin chain earring on left ear, leather jacket, (studied) ponytail and loads of extra-cool tees, sometimes superposed. Oh, and bags under the eyes. The ultimate sexiness I think.
So I tried to give my style a new direction by trying to recreate it. After all, my great grand-parents were Danes (for what it's worth!).
I am sorry this post is pic heavy... Thanks for watching!

Pic1: The inspiration: Dicte

Pic 2: First try, I think still a bit too prissy but getting there:
7 For All Mankind skinnies
cheap white tee (but with the nonchalant open neckline)
H&M cropped white jacket
Steve Madden taupe booties (the closest thing I own to those absolutely cool boots she wears in the show - my next item on my shopping list).

Pic 3: Getting closer I think.
Same pants, jacket and footwear
Blush v-n tee from Zara

Pic 4: Same but added a girly scarf knotted in a messy way.

Pic 5: Same tee, loosely tucked + hi-low Guess denim skirt + booties (and jewelry!).

Pic 6: With fabric BR bomber

Pic 7: With 1-2-3 jacket

Pic 8: I think I have all the elements down in this one.

Pic 9: Without the scarf.

Pic 10: This one also has all the elements (leather jacket check, print tee check, funky scarf check, skinny jeans, check...)

pic 11: Close up of all the jewelry, including the longest earring I own, one ear only, don't know if it's cool or simply silly.

Pic 12: Finally a last attempt with a straighter imitation leather jacket. I think it gives it more of a "girl next foor" air, which is a bit what I am aiming for.
