I swapped one pair of jeans for a grey, small check, pair of linen pants. These are some of the combinations I made. The three pictures on the right include two more of my linen jackets, one white & one grey marle, that also work with many of the 10 items in the capsule. I'm just amazed at how many combination I can get for 10 to 12 pieces of clothing.

I still have a pair of jeans or slouchy trousers & a skirt to style with the tops, but I think I've done enough. This is working well & I specifically wanted to do this with my linen pieces because apart from my coats these are the only clothes I have that aren't trans-seasonal. I have more linen pants more tops & jackets & several light-weight silk & cotton pieces that work in with this capsule. I think I have a little too much but I usually only wear summer clothes once before washing (the jackets maybe more) so I'm feeling okay about this.

Two really interesting (for me) things came out of getting the pieces together for the capsule.

1. It was sobering to realise that variety didn't always give me more options.
2. I realise it is hard for me to dress in summer clothes, they don't seem as interesting as my trans-seasonal clothes.

I really want to do this exercise with my dressier clothes & evening clothes too.
