Can someone please help me decide my skin tone?

So basically all my life I've gotten "you're definitely cool toned" or "100% warm toned" and only a few times "neutral." In my profile picture is me without foundation on lol so please if anyone could give me an educated answer, that would help me a lot with my life. (Also ps I'm colorblind and can't really tell by myself) (pps I don't have perfect skin)

It's difficult to be 100% certain from a small, screen picture, but I'd say you have a cool skin tone, Elise. That was my first impression.

Alas, it is pretty much impossible to judge from a small photo, especially without knowing whether it was daylight etc. I would also guess cool toned but this is a complete guess.

Do your friends say you look better in blue or in yellow?

I would guess that you are cool or cool/neutral (combo of the two). For example, I am neutral/warm or possibly warm/neutral. I can't wear gold or super earthy fall type colors without feeling weighed down, but neither can I wear super cool blues or bluish reds. I can wear most clear yellows and oranges and a lot of blues and reds if they aren't cool. Maybe you're the flip side but in the cooler range?

Oh thanks everyone! I would say I can't pull off any super warms or super cools so it makes sense that you say that I could be a mix. But wow that's confusing haha. I would attach a picture but I apparently can't so

From what I can see, it looks like a mix. Your hair looks warm toned and your eyes look cool ( blue?). Holding up different colors to your photo, your skin seems best with warm colors.
Most people are a combination. I wear warm reds like tomato much better than blue ones or even a more neutral red like cherry or fire engine. But I can wear cobalt and navy blue and cool grey neutrals.

It's strange that you read me as warm @joy. Does it seem strong or slight? Also my hair is naturally dark ash blonde, almost grey I just put a little bleach in it to add some warmth.

I could probably upload a different photo if anyone needs one.

Your colouring looks similar to me Elise. I have dark ash hair, grey green eyes and fairly neutral skin. I believe however I am a spring of some sort because my skin comes alive when I wear tomato red, coral, clear green ivory and turquoise, and I look pretty average in true white, grey, olive/khaki, taupe and tan. I wear a lot of black and ink blue in winter although I don't think they are my BEST colours, I think they work.

I would look at the colours that DO work, and those that DON'T work. And remember, it is not in isolation, and there are tricks to make most colours work. When I wear black I either wear a bright lipstick or I make sure I have lots of skin on display.

Some people say that you can get an idea of warm vs. cool by seeing whether silver or gold jewelry looks better on you, or if you can wear both. I can wear both silver and gold well, but gold looks just a smidge better. My skin color is slightly warm, my eye color is warm, but my hair is cool. Based on my own experience with what colors work for me, I have decided that I am a pretty neutral-toned person with the scales tipped slightly on the warm side. So you may be a mix as well.

I see warmer, rather than cooler. I am pretty neutral, leaning towards cool - see my profile pic? I look great in blush pink and cool pastels, for example. I think you'd look better in things like warm bright red ("tomato red"), and bright warm greens, golds, etc. really, though, hard to tell without multiple photos showing what you look like in natural lights with different colors next to your face!

There is a trick that may help you: put on some make up in cool colour (eyes, lips, cheeks...) and then some in warm ones, and maybe it will be easier to see the difference. Wear it al through the day in different lights, hear also what others say- the right one is when they compliment you, not the make- up. If you can't decide, then you are (more or less) neutral and can wear anything (good for you!).
