Can a pink shoe be a neutral?

Can pink be considered a neutral? I have seen so many cute pink flats this year and the pale ones especially appeal to me. I am drawn to neutral/nude shoes in warmer weather because they lengthen my leg line and I am 5'4" on a good day. I have a couple of nude/tan shoes, which work great with my skin tone in the summer but would like to shake it up a bit.

Is a light pink flat too young for a 50 year old? Would you consider it a neutral?

I am over 50 and love light pink! I vote yes on the cute light pink flats.

I'm 50 and I'd wear a pink flat.
As for the question of is it a neutral, I think it would depend on the shoe, but I would try it.

I don't see anything age related about a pink shoe. As for a neutral, I'm not sure, but I'm also not sure that it matters? My bright orange shoes certainly aren't neutral, but I find them incredibly versatile. If this is a color that you'd wear with a whole bunch of clothes in your closet, then it sounds like it's a versatile color for you, even if it not technically a neutral.

Depends! If it works with a lot of things in your closet then it is a neutral to you. Although a very pale pink that is close to your skin color might pass off as nude.

Eta: Pink is not a neutral for me! Red, yes!

I have pale, cool skin and have a pair of blush blush flats that I wear as a neutral shoe. So I vote yes!

I had a client who had light blue flats that she wore with everything last year because they bookended her light blue eyes. It was magical.

I think definitely! Especially the paler pinks Maybe not so much hot pinks because those would be more of an accent, but the lighter pinks, yes

After trying on a number of 'nude' tan or beige shoes that made my skin look like death warmed over, I tried on a cool pink pair, and all of a sudden my feet looked great! They didn't 'match' my skin tone but they worked well as an accent that went with many outfits and they made my skin glow. Too bad they ended up being uncomfortable, I'm still looking for that color pink in another shoe.

Also any age can wear pink IMO

I don't think any color is age dependent.

As for can it be a neutral . . . well, I am so pale that my skin tend to be closer to blush in color than tan. So, a blush shoe actually looks more nude on me than a tan one does.

I think that would also depend on your wardrobe if it doesn't function as a nude for you.

pink/blush can absolutely be a neutral. It all depends on your skin tone. Go for it!

Great answers above and it depends on what the question really is--kind of going beyond some definitions of neutral but more to the point.
Pink can go with a lot of things so could be as versatile as many neutrals.
Pink in certain shades matches certain skin tones and can blend into the background and hence function as a neutral in the sense of not competing for attention in the outfit, or even more positively, if it is a good color match for someone's coloring can be very flattering, where a black shoe is technically more "neutral" but might not be as flattering and so gets attention for the wrong reason.

That all depends on the pink. Hot pink shoes can go with a lot of other colors too but are, well hot pink and so may be extremely versatile and fantastic for your wardrobe, but not neutral-ish.
