Hi everyone! I was hesitant to post my current 10-item wardrobe, for fear that I'm beginning to nauseate all of you with my love for a minimal closet. But, since Carter and some others expressed interest in her O.T. thread I am happy to oblige.

First, I would be remiss if I didn't give credit to Jennifer L. Scott for the idea. You can read about it and watch her videos on her blog:

Her early posts on the 10-item wardrobe really spoke to me, and made me want to try it too, although now she has left me in the dust with her gorgeous clothes!

This year my goal was to find some easy-breezy Summer dresses. I was never able to find any at retail that fit my many criteria, but with a bit of compromise, I was able to net 5 dresses (you know there were some mistakes--these were are All Sales Final--but I was able to re-consign, but only for about 5 cents on the dollar, boo) at my favorite chain of consignment stores.

The main concession I had to make was for length. I'd ideally like to have my dresses hit on or below the knee, but for resale, midis are taking awhile to filter down. Also I had a rule for myself not to wear knit dresses, which I finally tossed out the window. Four of the five dresses are knit, but they are all thick enough that I don't feel exposed. These are my day to day Summer clothes for wearing around the house (I stay at home) or running errands, doing the shopping, etc. They have taken me from church to jury duty and recently a quick trip to California *waving to Vicki and Marley* (where I had to break out my winter clothes). Everything apart from the dresses I've had from a previous season.

I know I'm not going to win any awards for being super fashionable, but I'm quite happy with the utility of my little collection. Deets in the comments.
Thanks for looking.
