It looks nice on you, but I need more info! Do you love it? Do you have anything else like it? What's it made out of? Do you have anything wear as a topper to keep warm?

Um I do like it, I think out is fun for a black dress. I am not a lbd kinda gal. It is made of silk chiffon. I dont have a topper...

It hides all sins with the rusching, if that is a word, maybe I should have tried smaller. But is it age appropriate?

I like how it drapes without being too clingy. Is the hem asymmetrical? If you want a dress that is not too classic, this could definitely be it!

Hmm. I'm not sure. I like this one better than the last one, but I'm still not convinced this is "the" cocktail dress for this event. You definitely would have to add a topper to your calculations, I think....

Uh, you know I'm going to say "buy"! I would wear this in a heart beat. Love ruching because it conceals a multitude of sins. Love the assymetrical hemline. Love the cowl neckline because I love cowls. I can see this with piles of long necklaces, and a cheeky denim or moto jacket, or a boyfriend jacket.

And I think it would work for Paris. Depends on how you style it!

I like the idea of this and the drape is nice - but it feels a bit short on that one side to my eye. I don't know, maybe I'm being picky. Can we see that other side? I do like it in general - and with the right jewelry and shoes and maybe a light shawl.

Ah, you have an event to go to. Well, I love that it's silk chiffon! I'd try it on with toppers in the store just to make sure it plays well with them. All of the bulk created by the draping might look better on it's own.

Styling ideas:

1) Dress down with tall flat chesnut boots and a denim jacket. With red clutch.

2) Dress up with platform heels or booties in a fun color (cobalt? Red? animal print) and piles of long necklaces.

3) Wear with tan peep-toe booties and a long gold necklace. With a chestnut leather jacket (like MaryK's).

4) Pop on a sharp navy pinstripe or charcoal boyfriend jacket, and more dainty pumps in a bright pop of color.

5) Add a white denim jacket and tall boots with a heel or embellished ballet flats or two-tone oxfords.

6) Wear with cropped leggings, or as a tunic over denim skinnies.

7) with gold strappy sandals .. think "Grecian" ... because the dress has a bit of a Grecian Goddess feel to it....

Shiny..you are too fun! Shoes are decided because there will be dancing and I am taking no chances on my feet. They are simple black suede and patent Mary janes, will add picture above.

I see though that this dress had lots more possibilities than that last one!

Claire...is a wrap an ok topper? I have silver scarf lined with silver fur...but it might not match in style.

The side didn't show allot of leg...but it did hit higher than the other side. I will go back on the weekend and try it again. Maybe smaller.

I think you're on the right track, Jayne!
I really like the dress, and it looks very pretty on you. The question is whether that one side is too revealing or not. If it's too short on that side, I'd vote keep looking for something similar but not too revealing, especially since this is a work-related function.

Oops...just realized you are in a dressing room, not your bathroom...so I guess I'm in love with the curtain. Think they'll notice if you stuff it in your bag for Shabby??? lol

I think shorter side view will end 1-2 inches lower from where the slip does, IMO not too short either, one can see it's arround knees.. Lovely dress, did you try to sit down, that will break my deals a lot more often, as the skirts ride even more higher if tight, hope that's not the case.

I think you look gorgeous Jayne. And as long as the other side isn't too short it will be perfect. Worth trying the size down but this looks lovely.
