Got my Brooks Brothers trench in the mail yesterday, and popped up this morning to try it on ASAP. I ordered the size 4, because my size 2 BB shirts threaten to gape when I wear certain bras, and I wanted to make sure I could wear a sweater under this, even with the zip-out liner (sorry I'm wearing shorts and no sweater, but it's a hot weekend here).
What do you think of the fit? Please ignore the sleeve length for now, as I really prefer my sleeves long and I want to see if they shorten as the elbows start to crease. It's possible I could fit into a 2 and still wear a sweater (I think I weigh less than when I first tried it on), but in the past I have erred on the side of too small and paid for it. I can layer a leather jacket under this one without straining the buttons, which is a nice option. But does it look too big for normal wear like this?
I think I am pretty darn sold on the color. I never thought I could wear the "classic" trench look because beige hates me, but the khaki seems to have the same vibe.
