Bridal party leggings?!

Last night we went to a local production of The Wedding Singer (a musical) which the ads said featured 80's fashions .
Can you believe bridesmaids and many wedding guests as well as reception servers in leggings? I just had to pass this idea on to those of you involved in weddings.

How fun- I loved that movie! I didn't know they they made it into a stage show.

Sorry, but I don’t get it. Who was wearing leggings? The cast or the audience?

I loved that movie, and I imagine I would love the stage show, but I can't imagine a wedding party wearing leggings. As much as I love them, I just can't see them for such a formal affair (ever) - unless it was for stage laughs??

The show included several wedding reception scenes and in one the bridesmaids were dressed in satin dresses with black leggings. Many of the reception guests on stage also wore leggings with cocktail dresses, some more successfully than others. The show actually included a line about coming to see the 80's fashions in their ads, so I'm not sure if it was for humor.
