I love the Boutique 9 peep toe booties that several of us have (including Angie). They are the perfect colour, are super comfortable and fit perfect except for one issue. The heel. I'm not sure if it's because of where it hits my heel or if it's the elastic itself, but they literally rub my skin raw. I've tried moleskin and the gel heel grips. These will not stay stuck to the back of the shoe because of the flex (give and take) of the elastic.

So on my lunch hour, I took them to a cobbler I've used a few times and completely trust. She indicated that she cannot remove the elastic and re-stich the back because it will make the back of the shoe too low and they will not stay on my foot. She is however going to dye two strips of very soft leather to match the shoes, and then stitch that over top of the elastic area, slightly rolling over the top. It will make the back of the shoe a little thicker (which should be ok) but hopefully softer. She did run her fingers along the elastic of the shoe and said to her touch, it was extremely rough. So here's hoping this works...if not, I'm unsure where to go from here...I'll keep you posted.
