Boden order advice + new LBD pics

Hi kind folks,

Need your keen shopping eyes for advice on my Boden order please....my flatmates are tied on their opinions on these.

I took these first thing this morning after waking up as I need to dash (featuring the Brulees, just to make me wear them!). Please excuse the dodgy morning hair and half asleep face!.

1) Floaty Hotchpotch dress

I ooogled this all season and was so excited to snap it up during the sale in my fave colour. Now that I see it in person I think the colours look a bit more muted than the website. And I don't know that it flatters me? Argh! 1 flatmate vote yes, 1 no.

2) Shirt

They delivered the wrong shirt! I ordered this one, and got this one (in green) instead. Spanner - my flatmates like it! Should I keep? Boden are currently sending me the top I ordered....should I wait until they arrive to compare before deciding?? I think I only have 7 days to return sale items though....argh!!!

And then finally I picked up my shortened LBD yesterday. I love the new length!! She did an amazing job!!!

Ok must dash sorry. Really appreciate advice....only want to keep Boden items if they are a 10 and I just don't know what to do about the top situation!!

Tam, I love all three on you! I love the dress on you WAY more than I did in the catalogue, and like Angie mentioned, it's perfect with your Brulees.
I missed who did the alterations on your LBD, but the extra length transforms it perfectly.

The dress is definately different in real life than on the website but i dont think that's a bad thing. i do prefer the shirt you ordered to the one boden shipped...but who knows how it would look on you. the dress is great. more versatile at the length you have now

Tam, that green is fantastic on you! I was actually looking at that shirt when I was ordering my skirt, but thought it would be too transparent. Please keep! Although I could see the other shirt on you, too - did you get the yellow/purple?
The dress looks great with brulees! And I love the LBD on you - glad you were able to get it lengthened!

The blouse looks like a happy mistake to me. It's a beautiful color on you and very flattering. I would keep! Although the yellow/purple is very pretty. Can you get both?

And the lengthened dress is AMAZING. My favorite of the whole lot! It is perfect now!

I think your Brulees look great with the first dress. I hope you get used to how good they look.

Wow I am so surprised the Boden dress is getting positive feedback. Ok will keep for sure!! Suprisingly I like the Brulees with it too!! Yay!!! The material is too heavy for a hot day, but for cooler days it will work well. And for Autumn/Winter it will work with boots and tights - yay!

As for the LBD I am so happy with its new length. I think its now a lot more versatile since I won't have to worry about it riding up so much, esp. when sitting down!! And shock of shocks I like the Brulees with it too!! Not too pretty at all!!

As for the shirt...now I'm in a pickle. The new shirt (the one I actually ordered, which is also green) is on its ways already (I contacted Boden yesterday when I first received the order). The one I have now is significantly more expensive - 39 pound as opposed to 18 pound - and I don't know that I should keep both. I think I have to return this one in 7 days though...which would be before the other one arrives. What should I do!

Oh, we posted at the same time Tam.

I would call Boden and let them know what happened. It was their mistake so I think they will be lenient with the return policy. If not, that's just bad customer service.

Tam, you totally scored on your Boden order! The dress is fantastic, it looks better on you than in the catalog.

I'm torn about the top. The one you got looks great on you, but the one you ordered is such a fun print. Hmmm.

By the way, if you talk to Boden customer service they will probably help you out about the return deadline. I just went through the same thing - I was having an order delivered to New York, but it didn't arrive before I left, so I had to have the package forwarded. Anyway, to summarize a long story I needed extra time to get the package forwarded and they were OK with me still doing a return.

The black dress looks PERFECT on you now. WONDERFUL!
