Blanket lined denim jacket

I just saw this "vintage blanket lined denim jacket":

and I love it, besides I think it would be very useful in fall. The main pitfall of denim jackets is that they do little to keep you warm. Even on some summer days (cool, like today in my area, 15ºC right now) they do nothing to keep you warm.

I still own a flannel-lined denim jacket very similar to that, that I bought in the early 90s (described in the recent thread where we talked about what the oldest item in our closet we still wore was). Temperature-wise it is very handy for those times when a proper winter coat is just too much and a jacket isn't quite enough.

My only hesitation would be that it's described to be vintage from the 80s, which means you're going to get extended shoulders and an overall shape that's rather different than most denim jackets today. Are you by chance an IT?

Laura, I am not going to buy it, I rarely buy clothes online. But I liked it, and then was the practical factor. I wasn't aware that those jackets were an 80' or 90' thing, I never saw one - or maybe I didn't notice as I wasn't as interested in fashion back then?

I love denim jackets but one thing that annoys me about them is that (now in summer) they feel so cold against my bare arms.

That does look really comfy, and it would be a fun style to layer for that cozy, woodsy feel for fall. I bet someone makes a contemporary version.

I love it. I had a pair of flannel lined khakis a long time ago that I wish I had kept. I always get them for my kids, but would love the same for me.
