BF jeans experiment

Shirking my responsibilities today and doing some retail therapy. I'm not in love with any of these enough to buy any of them today but wanted to get feedback.

1 Paige Jimmy jimmy skinny in distressed finish
2 AG Tomboy crop
3 Paige JJS in darker wash

Thoughts?

I love the length and fit of the second pair, Janet. Have you thought of trying a size up in these for a slightly more relaxed, slouchy look? I really think that would be amazing on you.

Hm, I like #2 the best, but like you, I don't know if it's love. Maybe it's just the pics, but 2-3 sort of look like regular skinnies to me (albeit rolled up).

I tried the next size up in these too and they seemed uncomfortably large -- many inches of fabric bagging at the crotch, and the back at the waist pretty much exposes my whole behind when I bend down. A belt will only do so much. Hmm. Just not sure about this.

Yeah, none of these excite me. I may as well just wear my old David Kahns that are a size too big that I wear to clean the garage!

Agree with the ladies -- #2 is the best of the bunch, but if you are looking for a more "boyfriend" look I would go with something slouchier that sits lower on your hips.

Interesting that the crops are getting some love.

I also have a pair of distressed Kuts that fit more loose and slouchy, but they're bootcuts.

I like the roll length of #2 but none of them really slouch on your hips. Fab you can do MUCH better!
ETA: I looked for awhile and finally settled on a pair of Calvin Klein BF jeans that I feel pretty good in.

I guess I'm having a hard time distinguishing what makes this look work other than simply having a pair of too-big jeans. I spent enough time hitching my jeans back up my hips after I lost weight last year that I suppose I'm not terribly excited about the prospect of doing it again on purpose. However, I like the casual cool vibe I've seen it convey on others. It *seems* like it would suit my rock'n'roll tendencies, but I guess I just haven't found the pair that makes me say, "Aha!"

Too bad my husband is 11 inches taller and 75 lbs bigger than I am. I'd just steal a pair of his for the truly authentic boyfriend jean!
