So I found my dress.
I tried on all the suggestions everyone made -- the Tadashi was a glorious idea, Kyle -- but this Adrianna Papell was the winner, hands-down. Now the hunt is on for shoes and a pretty glittery gold bag, but I have some ideas about those over on my blog.
