Footwear:
Will wear on the plane, my bulkiest boots. Either near-knee-high leather winter boots, riding style, lined and a bit stiff but can wear them all day comfortably enough. Or pile lined, high-mid-calf snow boots, plain black (no laces); more comfortable for apres-ski, but I think too warm for the predicted Vienna weather.

Second footwear, for city walking: I just picked up the low-wedge black ballet flats I had been eying, as comfy and supportive/solid enough for cobblestone walking. Wore them for an ER shift to break them in, they passed. I hope this will cover both the dressier and warmer-weather needs. Alternatives I had considered include moto boots (too bulky), loafers (falling apart), plain ballet flats (not supportive enough).

If there's room I'll pack another flat comfy pair for apres-ski hotel room/hot tub-side. Maybe my Birkenstock lookalikes, or maybe even my oldest supportive house slippers and leave them behind.

Am I crazy? Any suggestions?
