AT Pearl necklace

Hi all - it's been so long since I've posted but work has been super busy. Today I've managed to sneak away for a few minutes. :-)

Has anyone seen this pearl necklace in real life?

I am looking for a new one since my old one broke. But - I'm not sure if this would be too big on a shorter person! I tried on one of the pearl necklaces they had in store and it kind of overpowered me. Also, I'm not sure about the grey color so would love to hear from anyone who has actually seen it.

thanks so much!

Oh, that looks pretty. I haven't seen it in person, but it looks like a cross between those JCrew bead necklaces and one that Gap had last year. It looks like it would fill in a neckline really nicely. I don't think you can ever be overpowered by pearls, it's just a look, you know? :)

I have not seen the necklace in person. I do think it is very pretty in the picture. I would consider this dressy. Am I wrong?
I have a long strand of grey pearls that I love. I also have a matching long strand of white pearls. I love the grey ones but sometimes I feel the white ones work better. For me I like having both colors in my collection and I love them both equally.

San, I wonder about it being too dressy. I want to wear it with jeans & more casual looks. I thought about getting a long strand but wanted to get something just a little different.

Juli it may very well be casual on you. I am a shy introvert and I have to have very plain things.
I must say though that I like how this necklace hangs and will fill in a scoop neckline area. All of my necklaces are longer and I will be looking for one that does the job of this one, but for me it will have to be more plain, for a plain Jane. So please don't let me stop you from trying this if you love it. I love it too, just couldn't wear it unless dressed up.

EDIT:
After reading your post Juli, I decided to look at AT's jewelry and I ended up ordering this one with my 40% discount.

Does this one look too dressy? I hoped that the chain loops would bring it down a notch.

Ohh. That one's pretty too! I'm more of a gold gal than silver but that is very nice. I don't think it's too dressy and I thought it would mix things up if you wore a dressier necklace with the rest of the outfit being casual. What do you think? Kind of like what Angie blogged about today.

I was going to use my 40% discount too. What a deal!

EDIT - and by the WAY - you are so NOT a plain Jane! Everytime I see your outfits I think you are amazing and beautiful.

I have seen it in reality last night and it is gorgeous! Go for it, I think it would look great with an otherwise simple more casual outfit.

I think it would make an impact when worn with a casual ensemble. I don't think it would look over the top as our eyes have adjusted to statement necklaces.

i really like it, Julie! I think you could definitely wear this in a more casual way if you wanted. I agree with Tanya--if the rest of the outfit is more simple, then I don't think you would feel as overpowered.
