Ok. I think we have some serious contenders here--all from a shop I was in today. They are all very pricey, however, so I'm calling in the big guns (Angie, that's you!).
I spent an hour in the shop. The saleperson--an optician--explained to me how it will be the depth from the center of my eyes to the bbottom of the fram which will be important for maximizing my reading ability. So, I "gave up" my criterion that the glasses be "bigger"--which was a good thing. There's really not a lot of space between my cheerful smiling cheeks and my brows.
I mentioned I was looking for blue, deep red and purple. I must have tried on twenty pairs. I am surprised by how few of these actually have strong colour.I chose the frames not only based on how much I liked thembut also on how the lenses will react with my prescription. Every single one of these will be fine.
Please forgive the dorkiness of my face!

note to Suz: three of these are Bevels. The optician said it was a good choice for me--so good for you!

1. Birdie (really, I don't know what colour these are, I can't tell)
2. Brigham (brown, with a mint colour inside)
3. Pastis (dark blue, not black)
4. BP Songbird. These are titanium, two tone and a rose-gold. I took this one after the one the optician took went weird.
5. Lindsay
6. Blue. Titanium

So, what do we think?
