Ask Angie and all: K/R the silk tunic?

Yesterday I posted about a silk tunic or blouse (which one is it?), and many gave thumbs up for it. Today I tried to dress it up and down a little, and to wear it in different ways.

I have to admit that I'm not that much in love with it today as I was yesterday, but I still like it. What I'm having the most trouble with is to figure out how to wear it untucked, because it is pretty boxy and shapeless. It layers very well under dresses, and it is pretty tucked into skirts. Pants are a different story. I tried untucked and semi-tucked, but none were really successful, I think. Belted is better, particularly with skirts. I also tried some pattern mixing - what do you think? This is so new to me.

I'm very grateful for any advice. This must be returned today (before seven hours from now) if I'm going to get my money back. Norway is certainly not anything like the US in that respect.

Love it by itself and under dresses. I'm not sure about with the scarves though. It seems as though it works with a lot of your current wardrobe and looks really good on you in terms of fit and color. I think it is a keeper.

I still like it very much - a pretty print, flattering neckline and not too much volume. I think it looks good in all of these variations. How does it feel? Do you have some concerns about the fabric?

I still like it very much, and I really like the looks you have come up with! I think because the fabric is fluid the boxiness will not be a factor when you are moving around.

Wow, you styled it so many great ways! I love it on you, but if you don't love it, then take it back. I think it's a 10 though!

Still love it today. You have some great options here and it works with enough that it can be quite versatile. Maybe give it another couple of days and see how you feel about it. Sometimes that works for me when I am on the fence.

I think this is a gorgeous tunic/blouse. The colors are just beautiful and seem to work well with your color palette. Looks like a very versatile blouse that will play nicely in your closet with all your other great pieces.

Angie, thank you for taking time to respond to this. I'll keep your comment in mind and wear it on it's own, too. It's also very nice that it layers so well under those two dresses, in my opinion. I'm a dress girl at heart!

misvee, I have no concerns regarding the fabric, because it is a soft, delicate silk, and like Ceit points out, the boxiness is not very prominent when I move around. I don't know why I felt reluctant all of a sudden, but today I'm very tired, and that could simply be it. Now I'm very happy about my decision.

ETA: Another thought - I think this one could be an interesting replacement for the patterned top in my first edition of the BR capsule. No?

So glad you are keeping it! I was looking at all the looks and I think it fits fabulously with your wardrobe. Honestly, it is gorgeous on its own as Angie pointed out, but I think it looks beautiful in the many other ways that you've styled it. Love and just a notch down from love are pretty fabulous. I would love to wear a killer outfit every day, but like most of us, I'm content to land on very nice!

Hated it on the hanger, love it on you. Especially under that grey dress. Lots of outfits for this piece! I vote keep.

Ooh! What about a vest? Then you could wear it untucked and show most of it, but still give some shape.
