Are these sandals outdated?

Hi Everyone!

I've been a fan of YLF for over a year now and have decided to join in. I love this site! Angie is amazing and I am impressed by readers' friendliness and great sense of style.

I'd like to know if these shoes are outdated, specifically the chunky heels. I've had them about 10 years but am hesitant to toss them because they are comfortable and I have narrow fussy feet. It's getting harder and harder to find narrow shoes.

The t-strap looks current, but I haven't seen that heel shape in awhile. However, they look really cute on you and if they comfortable, I say keep them!

I would keep since they are comfy and not really outdated. If you ever stumble upon an updated replacement, then toss/give away.

They look great. In fact I have been looking for sandals similar to those, the chunky heels are always so comfortable. And the T-strap style looks very current.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate your input and will be feel more confident wearing them now. I actually found the receipt in the box and I bought them in 1999! Glad to hear they still look current.

Maya -- Yes, the straps are made of a stretchy/elastic material and the heels are patent leather. They were made by Van Eli and are so, so comfortable!

I think that you're okay. And Lord knows that I know how hard it is to find narrow shoes, and that they are quickly becoming extinct. Good times...

I think that your chunky heeled t-straps, while not on the cutting edge of fashion, are streamlined and simple enough to hold their own in the midst of what's out there in the market. I found these to give you an idea of various chunky heeled t-strap offerings:

Thanks lwc! Often the hardest part of putting together an outfit for me is finding the shoes in a narrow size to go with it. How I wish the Me Too Swans came in narrow! I still haven't found a comfortable pair of ballet flats that will stay on my feet. That's next on my list.

I think it was Niva who said she was looking for a similar pair of T-straps. I really like the Kendra patent T-straps on the jcrew link. Thanks for the help!
