Are ankle boots with a sweater dress still in style?

I'm full of questions today!

My Black Friday shopping included this sweater dress, but in the navy color.

I really like it, but at present have no tall boots to wear with it as illustrated in Angie's recent outfit idea post. For now I think I will style it with black ankle booties. Is that a look that is still en vogue?

I hope so - I wear my sweater dresses with all sorts of boot heights. Nordstrom is showing it with ankle boots in the stock photo. I'd add tights in my climate and maybe a long pendant necklace.

I don't wear sweater dresses, but I don't see why you can't wear them with whatever boot style you choose.

I sure hope so, because I happen to prefer that look over tall boots, at least on myself. To me it looks modern and sleek.

Isnt YLF great for coming up with variations? Now you've prompted me to try ankle boots (high heel) on with a sweater dress that's in the holding zone when I pull it out to photograph with both pairs of high-shaft boots (one flat, one high heels) and some maximal accessories. Thank you!

I love the sweater dress you got. It looks so soft and warm. I'm very glad that booties with sweater dresses got an ok from Angie. I also wear my OTK boots with a sweaterdress.
