It is the Halogen Ponte Knit Pencil Skirt. I love the colors! It looks just like the seamed skirt. Anyone try it yet?

That one comes in some great colors, but is shorter...too short for me. The fabric is different. I saw some at the store but didn't try them because of the length.

I ordered it last spring but ended up returning it. Joy is right, it is shorter but you are petite so it may work for you. I can't be sure, but I think that it might not be lined.

Looks lovely modgrl and I love wearing a ponti fabric, its always so comfortable and sits well. Not familiar with the skirt but could be worth a try.

This is a shorter, un-lined version of the seamed skirt. The fabric is a bit thinner too. Available in lots of nice colors. I also found the length too short but it could be just right for you!

Thanks ladies! I have a great black AT ponte skirt that isn't lined and it is fine. I'll have to see how I do with pencil skirts this fall. I might just have to order one of these when SYC is up! I think if I order the regular length it will be fine for me at 21".

modgrl, too funny...I was looking at that skirt online last night, too, and wondering the same thing! I think it was Sveta's WIW that got me going. And MaryK's post, too. I love that it comes in so many colours, and it might work for us because we are shorter? Also, for me, a knit fabric (if decent) can be a better bet in a pencil skirt because it works a bit better for my non-office, more MOTG lifestyle. Too bad I can't really order from Nordstrom without incurring duty and taxes. Sigh...

Wow, this is weird--I was just looking at this skirt last night online, and wondering about the length, as well as if the "red" was actually red. It looks more russet or orange-y in the photos.... I think It's took sort for me. For some reason, I just feel "too floozy" if my pencil skirt is too short! At 5'6", I think this one is close, but not quite right. However, if anyone knows what this red looks like IRL, I'd be interested (looking for a bright, clear, true red pencil...have been for years!)

Yes, I have this one in cobalt from last year! I wear it all the time and just love it. Mine is regular size, not petite, and the length is just right for me even though I'm normally a petite. (By way of comparison, I just got the seamed skirt in a non-petite and it comes to just below my knees.)

I stayed away due to the length & lack of lining, but Allie from Wardrobe Oxygen has it in the same color that MaryK is sporting, and looks stunning:

I wish I could buy this skirt, but I KNOW it would be FAR too short on me at my 5'10" height. I love the length of the skirt on Mary K - it's perfect!

I have a hard time finding skirts at the right length due to my height. I would love to find a great black pencil skirt, but my legs are not my best feature (even though they are long). I prefer to show off my upper body and keep my skirts to knee length or a bit above or below. I am embracing the currently popular midi length as well. After that length goes out of vogue, I plan to shorten my midi skirts to the knee length that I most prefer.

If anyone has any suggestions on where to find good skirts for taller women, I would love to get them!
