Anyone familiar with Paul Green boots?

I found these on 6PM: http://www.6pm.com/product/7357510/color/6147 . Paul Green is an Australian brand that I am not familiar with -- since they have been reduced from expensive to kind of expensive, I'm looking for input before trying them out. :)

Anyone know whether the quality matches the price for this brand?

Second that. I had black mid-calf boots from Paul Green for many years (until I finally wore them to shreds) and still miss them. PGs are awesome, very comfortable, very high quality. April, this is an amazing price and those boots are great. Snatch them up!!

I third that. I have a pair that I was lucky to get at a deep discount, and I absolutely love them. The style is very similar, and the quality is superb. Get them quick!

I have a pair of Paul Green silver sandals I got half price at the Rack this Spring. I'm loving them. Very well made and comfortable. Mine say "Munchen" on them, though...I think they are made in Germany.

I did snatch up the last pair of these, in the brown color. I suspect the deal-breaker will be calf circumference, which for Paul Green boots seems to run at around 15'', though I didn't find that statistic for these particular boots. I need no more than 13''.

In spite of the great reduction in price on these, not sure I could justify adding the $80 alterations fee on top of the boot cost. Especially during NAS...

Wow -- the buzz on these boots is impressive and I'm glad I decided to try them. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping the reason they ended up on 6PM.com is that the calf size was narrower than was desirable for most customers...

If the calf is too wide, maybe I should keep them anyway and put them away until I have funding for the alterations? Seems like if I did that, I would have a high-quality, perfectly-fitting boot for a long time to come.
