Antje - outfits from 1st half of March

A few of my March outfits, featuring 3 of the items I took home from the Seattle YLF swap (thanks Jane and Laurel!)

Question - are the pants in the "Professional outfit" (4th photo) too big or do they look ok?

And can you guess which look is my favorite?

Wow Antje I really love all your outfits! Love the turquioise dress over the jeans the best I think. The colours and pattern are great! Your work pants do look a bit roomy around the thighs. I have a pair that I was wearing yesterday that fit much the same so I'd be interested in hearing what others say about the fit!

Wow I love the colors of the first one. The forest green sweater with the blue flower, so cute!

The yellow blazer is a little off to me, I think it's the scale of the jacket. You are so a petitie lady it looks a little like it's too big for you. Might just be me though

Very interesting, Kendra. I've had my concerns about the yellow jacket because of the color; I hadn't really thought much about fit. But now I'm wondering whether the fit is imperfect rather than the color. I wish I was more sure about this jacket. What do others think?

I really like the dress over skinnies, the red sweater outfit and the yellow jacket outfit... well, I like them all! I think the pants fit fine, and I like how you made a the outfit "professional" but still very "you". I don't think I saw the yellow jacket on you during the swap, but I think it fits well, and I love the layering.

(BTW, not to hijack Patience's thread further, Mango has a site, but I am never sure about sizing and I feel like I need to see their stuff in the store. And shipping/return policy isn't very friendly :( )

Yeah, just saw the Mango shopping site, too. Not everything they have in the store is on there, too, and I'm with you - I don't like to pay for shipping and returns. We just have to wait till we go on our YLF shopping trip to Vancouver, right? (I'm just guessing that Vancouver has one.)

What a fun set of outfits. I would sincerely wear all of them myself. I'm gonna guess that your favorite is day2: leopard print shirt with red layer. (yes, it's my favorite!)
I think your professional pants are little too big for you (or perhaps it is the cut, are they wide leg?)
Yellow jacket is realaly cute with the gorgeous bow detail but Kendra might have a point, is it roomy?

I think that my favorite is also the red shirt outfit. You look so good in skirts!
You look great all week. It is such a pleasure to see your creative combos. I do not think the pants look that big, maybe they need just one really fitted layer on top and the volumes would balance better. Something about the slouchyness (not a word )of them appeals to me.
Thanks for posting!!

Antje: I love you in the red top with the animal print layered underneath. Very bold, but it feels right. The green dress with the scarf is very chic. Those are my two favs -- but all of the outfits are stellar. Do you mind me asking your body type?

Nice outfits as usual Antje. I think your fav is Jane's animal print shirt outfit. It looks great on you and used to look great on her too. The yellow jacket does seem a bit boxy to me. Hard to tell if some of that is because you're got your arm raised to take the photo?

Yes, indeed, the outfit with the animal print top, red sweater and black pencil skirt is my favorite. It might be one of my favorite outfits ever; I love the boldness of the color combo. I wore it again today and it made me happy.

Kyle, I'm an hourglass. (Before meeting Angie I considered myself a pear, since I'm quite wide and round in the hip area, but she demonstrated to me how my strong shoulder line makes the overall shape more of an hourglass.)

Oh, Antje, did you get my email response the other day? Speaking of Vancouver, I may be going there before YLF trip! I need to start another thread when it's finalized. Sorry - I am done with OT now!

I knew the red and cheetah print combo was your favourite Antje;-) It makes me smile too.
I also love the NL jacket. It's not super-fitted but it doesn't look overly roomy to me either. Maybe it's the way you're standing?

I'm not sure about the fit of the pants. I think we need Angie's expert opinion here.

You look stunning in green too, Antje. I love that first sweater AND the wrap dress with the long scarf!

Thanks Inge! I think I'll start a thread on the yellow jacket specifically, showing it in a few different outfits that I can think up, to see if it's a keeper. I so want it to work, but I don't want to keep it if it's not really fab on me. Stay tuned...

You are on a necklace kick! Such fun! I like your necklace look especially with the longer hair. Super outfits as always and I can’t pick a fav – perhaps the animal because I know how you love it :0)

Are those light grey skinnies?

The pants look fine. Do they feel too big?

Thanks Angie! Yes, I'm enjoying my necklace kick. It's great to have a new type of accessory to play with. But now my earrings feel neglected!

Yup, those are light grey skinnies (the MIA ones.) I love them with black, though I haven't really found other good options to wear them. I wear my blue denim skinnies with shorter tops, but feel a little to hippy in the grey ones to do that.

Regarding those pants - they feel okay. They are not my favorite, I really only wear them when I want to feel more formal/professional. They hadn't actually looked too big to me before, but when I saw the photo I suddenly though "uh oh, they look a bit like they're flooding me". It sounds like they're alright, so I'll continue wearing them for those purposes.
