I went in to Express last weekend and I was very impressed with the skirts and jackets. I love the fluted pencil skirt. Hmm.
And the pleated full print skirt. So many pretty skirts to choose from!

Ooooh, these are gorgeous indeed, Tanya! And their skirts fit me perfectly. I kinda am on a shopping ban (to be lifted temporarily while I'm in Germany next weekend ;-)) but of course now I'm seriously tempted. Thanks!

(I still regret not having bought the kelly green pencil skirt from Express. I looked at it at least 3 times but never bought, and then when I couldn't stand it anymore and wanted to get it they were out of my size both online and at the local stores.)

I am glad you like them Antje! I am considering maybe getting that fourth one, with the fluted back.

I am sorry the green one was sold out. Have you tried fashion delivery? They will send it to you if any store anywhere in the country has it.

I have to get myself to Express ASAP. I want to get that black&white pencil skirt that you got and just noticed that it has disappeared from the site, it must be selling really fast. I won't be able to get to the mall at least till Monday, hopefully my store will still have it.

Thanks Tanya! I LOVE that black and white pencil skirt. I wore it out to a dinner with 3 YLF fashion friends (including Angie) last week and felt very fab. It'll go with so many different things. It's a great bottom for brightly colored tops, like red, green, cobalt blue cardis, which I all love. But I actually wore it with a black blouse (tucked in) for the dinner, which felt sleek and sophisticated. Right now I wear it with boots, but I already tried it with spring flats at home and was happy with the look, especially with my kelly green ones. It's a wonderful addition to the my wardrobe. I hope you find it, too!!

Antje, you are one of the Seattle residents, yes? The Bellevue Square Express still has a bunch of the kelly green skirts in sizes 2-8 as of this evening. They didn't have the size I needed, but instead I ended up getting the same black and white skirt that looks so cute on you.

Oh my goodness, thanks Kari. I had checked there before and they were out, maybe they had gotten more stock. I might just have to go tomorrow - and how timely as I just got a new Express coupon in the mail...

You're welcome! From what I heard from the salesperson there, they are still getting new skirts in - they just run out quickly. I know they aren't listed on the website anymore but it sounds like the stores may have different stock.

(If you happen to see any in a size 10 around, maybe you can give me a shout - the 3 nearest stores to me were out.)

Oh darn! Tanya mentioned "fashion delivery", but I'm not sure exactly what this is. I guess any store can locate an item in any other store and then it gets shipped to you from there. You might want to ask about it.

Hmm, I'm not sure. I know Express used to have a feature where if they could locate an item in stock they would ship it for free/reduced price, but this was back before you could actually buy clothes on their website. Maybe this is what Tanya means?

Actually, fashion delivery means that they will locate and ship to you ( free of charge) any item you want that the store doesn't have. Your skirt is the perfect example. You bring a size 8 green skirt to the cashier, and ask about having a size 10 "fashion delivered" to you. You will fill a form, and they will only charge your card if and when they send the item to you. Clearance items are excluded.

Wow, really? I've been buying about 50% of my work clothes at Express for years but have never heard about this deal! I wonder why the salesperson who was calling the two nearest stores for me to see if they had the skirt didn't offer this option? I'll have to go in and ask them about it.
