Anthro sky check pants are here

Third box from UPS today was from Anthropologie. This included the infamous sky check pants and two banded tops (one of which I rejected). The pants are supercomfy (and superlong), but I don't know if they suit me! Also, I'm not used to wearing banded tops, so I need an opinion on whether it makes my middle look wide.

Also, does the cream color of the shirt work with my complexion?

Here's a shot with another new shirt (from UPS box #4) -- an asymmetrical-hem tank from Inhabit. The material is soooo cushy (cashmere blend).

It's kind of hard to judge from these pictures. I would like to see the pants folded to the right length and with a pair of shoes. I also don't think the top and pants really work together so that makes it difficult to judge each on their own, but I anticipate that the top will look good with a slimmer bottom like skinnies or straight jeans. I guess I need to see them in the actual context that you would wear them in. That changes everything. But I don't anticipate a rejection, at least not from me

The pants appear to fit you really well, apart from the length. I really like the cream blouse, too.

The asymmetrical blouse looks a little big to me and doesn't really work with those pants. It might look totally different with a more slim fitting bottom, though.

The pants look GREAT, cc! Do you love them? The cream banded top is fabulous too. Very pretty, hip and different. How are you liking the style?

As much as I like asymmetry and diagonal effects, I keep on wanting to pull the left side of that top down. Do you have the same impression?

The pants will be fantastic once they are hemmed - seems like one of those muti season fabrics/patterns that could really take you into Fall with boots and Spring with a wedge heel? Or were you going to hem for flats?

I like the color of top and think it works for your skin tone - just washes me out but on you it is pretty. Unique style too. I'd vote keep and try with denim skirt or skinnies as Maya pointed out.

Not too sure on the asymetrical top - it looks so long but maybe with leggings or skinny jeans?

Maya and cindy -- I agree about the tops; they are voluminous and would go better with a slimmer bottom. I'll try that later.

Angie -- The pants are totally different from anything I've owned before (not much of a pattern gal, especially on the bottom). But they are fun and comfy -- now I just need to figure out what to wear with them.

Re: the banded top, I'm still trying to figure out where to put the band and will need to play with it a bit, but it seems like it could work out.

Re: the asymmetrical top -- I have that same instinct, to pull it down! Another thing I will need to play with; at least I can get it hemmed to an even length if necessary-- I love the fabric, drape and color.

Chris -- I haven't decided regarding hem length! My instinct though is to wear them with a small heel; boots in fall and wedges in spring is a great idea. I'll try the tops with other pants and see how they look.

I love the pants on you, Cciele. They look like they fit you very well. I tried them on a few months ago in the store and didn't like them half as much on myself. Nice find!
