Another LE coat (+color)? - YouLookFab Forum

I didn't think to try this one because I always thought the neckline would make it unwearable - but I think with my new super cozy oversized plaid scarf this wouldn't be a problem. It's also an awesome price.

It's a tad shorter in the regular compared to the other coat (with the pleat), so maybe more a coat to wear with jeans than with skirts. But that's alright. I think I'm starting to prefer pants when it's cold and I don't feel as fab in my peacoat as I used to. On the other one the waist was very high, so this might work out well despite not being a petite fit. The top part is only half an inch roomier than on the other one, so I think this would fit. The sleeves would probably be too long, but that's an easy alteration. And it has side entry pockets!

There aren't many colors left though, only a brighter red and blue. I'm leaning towards trying the blue, what do you think? Or do you think it's a bad idea?

I think it's a great idea! The shape should suit you really well. My personal preference is the red coat for you (surprise), but you must be sure, because it will be a lot of color. The blue one is definitely a great alternative.

Thanks Ingunn. Good to know I'm not crazy. And yes, the red would be noticeable. But the blue isn't subdued either, I think they'd both be statements.

Okay, I've red the reviews on the US website and the red seems to be orange-y IRL. That's definitely a no-go. It will have to be the blue then.

That's fine Astrid, I'm sure the blue one will be statement enough then. That is definitely a lovely color, too.

I think this is one that will definitely need to be tried on. It is very nice in terms of shape and lines and the blue will look great on you Astrid but In the picture, it looks as though the jacket is flaring a bit below the buttons on the model. You will have to try it to make sure that it stays closed enough to give you the warmth you need. Other than that, it is lovely.

It is a beautiful coat. I may check out the golden yellow one to see if it is available in my size in Canada. I do wonder if the double breasted closing might be a bit fussy for an everyday coat. Something that one needs to try out IRL. I hope it works out for you.

IMO you can't go wrong with any of the two colors, but I would like the red for you for a matter! I actually think it blends better with your hair color(+ xheers all up). The blue will give a bit more contrast, but both are realy great choices. Great coat! Can't wait to see one of these on you!

Thanks Dianthus. It's definitely not a fit and flare, I expect it has an a line shape similar to the last one. A bit room around the hips is fine if it has enough length and there's no big gap. We'll have to see.

Thanks Style Fan. I do have a double breasted peacoat right now and it doesn't bother me. I almost never button the hidden buttons though.

Thanks Lyn! The red doesn't seem to be red as in the pictures but a burnt orange red. Orange is horrible on me, so the red is definitely out of the running.

I think it has great possibilities. I am a huge fan of blue so that is my vote, as well you mention and orange red which you do not love. If ordering and returning is not an issue then I think it is worth trying. If you have to pay duty and shipping like we do here then maybe not?

I love the blue for you Astrid! And aren't double breasted coats warmer, because you have two layers down the front? It looks like a great coat, and I love the silhouette. Bring on the chunky scarves!
